Basic Course on Congenital and Paediatric Echocardiography: SickKids Research & Learning Tower, November 7 and 8, 2013
*** Postponed Until Further Notice ***
For newborns and chaildren with congenital heart disease, echocardiography is the primary diagnostic modality and one that requires specific skills and knowledge. The Basic Course on Congenital and Paediatric Echocardiography is being offered in an effort to improve the training of cardiac sonographers and physicians who perform and/or interpret paediatric echocardiograms yet do not have paediatric specific expertise and knowledge, for example, neonatologists, paediatric emergency medicine physicians and adult-based cardiologists and cardiac sonographers. The course will focus on the specifics of congenital and paediatric scanning and will examine the echo-morphology correlations of the major congenital lesions in a systematic way. Dr. Andrew Cook (London, UK), a world renowned expert in the field, will conduct the morphology demonstrations; these will be followed by systematic reviews of echocardiography in congenital heart disease, all presented by leading faculty from across the globe. Further information about the course, including registration information, is available at: http://www.cvent.com/events/basic-course-on-congenital-and-paediatric-echocardiography-combined-with-3rd-annual-imaging-ventricu/fees-13876f88bb7f4d5e96fe99d03368419c.aspx.
