Welcome to the Canadian Society of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers
Toronto 2010We have just concluded the 28th annual CSDMS AGM and Educational Conference held at the Toronto Eaton Center Marriott Hotel June 3rd to 5th. I want to thank everyone who attended for their support of the meeting and I hope that you all enjoyed both the educational sessions and social events. It was an extremely busy conference with 495 registered delegates attending. This was our biggest conference to date and the inaugural multidiscipline meeting Generalists, Cardiac and Vascular Sonographers. Given the positive response we received from registrants, this will become the format for future conferences. There are many people to thank for the success of the meeting but most important are the Central Planning Committee, Susan Kinnear, Lynne Farrel, Linda Guralski, Ray Lappalainen, Caroline Keighley, Sandra Clark and Heather Vardy. These folks took on the difficult task of organizing the program and social events and then coordinating everything during the conference. They should be very proud of the job they did; I know the Board of Directors is very excited about the results of the labours. The team at head office was also instrumental in the success of the Conference and associated meetings that preceded the conference. They routinely demonstrate commitment above and beyond their defined responsibilities to make these conferences the success they are whether in big market Toronto or smaller market Saskatoon. These are the people we rely on year after year to make sure everything goes smoothly and we owe them our thanks for a job extremely well done. Thank you, Beth and Sylvie. If you attended the conference we would appreciate any comments or suggestions for improvement that you have, this is the only way for us to improve the conference in a creative and cost effective way.
